Project Cross Checking

10th to 14th January 2010,

CSPPM team organized cross checking in the project target areas, with 9 team members 3 of whom are women. The objective of this cross checking is to:
-Checking the structure of CBOs (regulation, membership, role, gender, etc);
-Finding out the quality of process and advantage in small grant implementation (process of small grant development, narrative report writing, TOR of training, quality of training, etc);
-Reviewing the quality of project supporting (training, facilitating, topic, etc);
-Finding out the key results base to the logical framework (awareness and action of voice, NRM and business);
-Drawing the recommendation and method to ongoing support;
The study method was conducted in 1 village of 6 districts, with village random sampling by team leader. Project officer was assigned as team leader and reporter in the whole of study; the FCFs were data collector and reporter for each district.

Workshop

5th January 2010,

The workshop on lessons learned was organized by Catholic Relief Services (CRS, with the participation of 9 LNGOs partners like: CEDAC, SCW, FACT, PNKS, WOSO, FLD, ARD, MB and Sre Khmer. The objective was enabled the partners to share and discuss the lesson learned in the three areas:
-Strengthening the capacity of CBO/LNGO to achieve their objective;
-What work well in sustainable NRM/voice/business and gender;
-What did not work well? what to do in working it well in 2010.
In the presentation, each partner had only 30 minutes including the questions&answer. Notely, all partner presented only one dimension and added gender. As the result, each LNGOs could learned and shared a lot on what works well, what works not well, contraints and tacken action.

2nd Darft on Local Governance Concept Note

01st January 2010,

The local Governance concept note was written by Mr. Hout Dok, field coordinator, Mr. Khat Bora, Project Officer, Mr. Nhep Mengcheang, Project Officer and Miss. Leng Sokthea, Project Officer. Those are members of Local Governance Theme of CEDAC-FNP. The Concept note was written in contents include: Rational, Relevance, Experience, Goal and Objective, Strategy and Activity, Indicator and Sustainability, and Resource. Notely, Local governance is the main thematic of FNP starting implementing since 2003. CEDAC viewed local governance is key theme let community get self reliance, find stakeholders and partners for assistance and link them to get public services of government. Additionally, NGOs and others assistance agencies cannot support as long as and as many as to meet all issues/needs of communities; there are public service include agriculture, irrigation, women affair, health etc.

CSPPM Quarterly Meeting

30th to 31st December 2009,

CSPPM quarterly meeting was facilited by me, Mengcheang, was to review and totol the qurterly progress. Meeting was discussed in the following agenda:
-sharing the attractive information related to field;
-showing progress by district;
-Discussing on small grant implementing and quality of service providers;
-How to work in 2010;
-Totaling and impression;
As results, projects worked smoothly by plan; otherhand small grant implementing were achieved over project.

CEDAC-CSPPM Annual Reflection

29th December 2009,

CEDAC-CSPPM team was coached by Mr. Sean Kosal, Provicial Facilitator (PF) of CRS on CBO planning and capacity building; it was held at Kos Tun Say resort in Kep Province. The objectives was to refresh the works and back up the lessons learned and good practices for sharing and learning each others. Additionally, It was increased the relationship and cooperation between CEDAC team and PF. Notely, PF appreciated all CEDAC team as achieved over projection; it was generated other 8 partners to all achieve 91% by projection.
